“Architecture inspired by the Romance of Early Travel.”
AVIATION & NAUTICAL INTERIORS
Transportation-Era Architectural Elements
Streamline Modern creates Art Deco architectural elements inspired by the glamour of early aviation and ocean liner travel. This body of work draws from the 1930s celebration of speed, motion, and modern transportation, translating maritime and aviation motifs into refined interior elements for contemporary settings.
Our designs reference legendary ocean liners such as the Normandie, Queen Mary, and Île de France, alongside aviation-era imagery defined by streamlined forms and mechanical precision. Relief panels and sculptural elements incorporate propeller motifs, navigational instruments, stylized vessels, and aircraft silhouettes—rendered in the geometric language of Art Deco. Each composition evokes the romance of transcontinental travel while maintaining architectural clarity.
Fabrication and Materials
Elements intended for marine and aviation environments are fabricated using corrosion-resistant bronze, marine-grade aluminum, and protective finishes suited to demanding conditions. Fabrication methods emphasize durability, stability, and long-term material performance while preserving period-authentic detailing and proportion.
Applications: Superyacht interiors, private aviation environments, transportation-themed hospitality spaces, and luxury residential projects with nautical or aviation influence. Materials include marine bronze with protective patinas, anodized aluminum, stainless steel accents, and glass elements for controlled illumination.
Every commission reflects the Art Deco era’s fascination with modern transportation—interpreted through disciplined design, rigorous research, and collaboration with craftsmen experienced in specialized environments.
