Lighting
Illumination Shaped by Geometry, Material, and Proportion
Streamline Modern creates Art Deco lighting defined by the geometric elegance and refined materials of the 1920s and 1930s. Our collection includes designer lamps, wall sconces, chandeliers, and custom fixtures, all reflecting the streamlined sophistication of the era. Each piece combines period-inspired detailing with contemporary manufacturing standards.
We produce lighting inspired by Art Deco masters such as René Herbst, Donald Deskey, and Walter von Nessen. Fixtures range from intimate table lamps to large-scale chandeliers, incorporating stepped forms, rhythmic geometry, and polished surfaces characteristic of the period. Illuminated panels and architectural lighting draw from landmark interiors—including theaters and ocean liners—adapted for modern spaces.
Fabrication & Engineering
Lighting is produced through specialized metalworking and electrical fabrication partners. Techniques include precision machining, period-correct patination, and the integration of UL-listed electrical components. Fixtures are engineered for modern performance while preserving historical character, compatible with contemporary lighting technologies.
Applications
Residential interiors, hospitality environments, corporate settings, and curated architectural spaces. Lighting functions as both sculptural focal points and ambient illumination. Materials include aluminum and etched or diffused glass.
Every fixture reflects careful research, disciplined design, and collaboration with craftsmen and lighting engineers who understand both Art Deco aesthetics and modern performance requirements.
